Robinson R-44 training is available for any of our offered courses. Most people who train in the R-44 plan on purchasing their own R-44 in the future, or do not meet the 240lb. weight restriction in the R-22.

Transition Training
If you need to learn how to fly the R-44 or just want to try something new, Iowa Helicopter offers an R-44 transition course. In this course you will learn the specifics of the R-44 and meet the pilot in command requirements of SFAR 73. At the completion of the 5 hour course you will receive a log book sign-off and be certified to pilot the R-44 helicopter.
